We need the eggs

I think Woody Allen is a genius. I wanted to admire him in this note but, what can I say about him? Let's just say that he is a real genius and cut the crap, and jump to the main point!

He has written and directed many movies, one better than the other. One of his masterpieces is Annie Hall, which he wrote and directed in 1977 and also played in it as one of the main characters, Alvy Singer. This movie has many funny -yet deep- dialogues and monologues which is a common property of most of Woody Allen's movies. One of the best quotes, in my opinion, was this:

[Alvy Singer narrating]
After that it got pretty late, and we both had to go, but it was great seeing Annie again. I... I realized what a terrific person she was, and... and how much fun it was just knowing her. And I... I, I thought of that old joke.
You know, the, this... this guy goes to a psychiatrist and says: "Doc, uh, my brother's crazy, he thinks he's a chicken."
And, uh, the doctor says: "Well, why don't you turn him in?"
The guy says: "I would, but I need the eggs!"

Well, I guess that's pretty much now how I feel about relationships. You know, they're totally irrational, and crazy, and absurd, and... but, uh, I guess we keep going through it because, uh, most of us... need the eggs.
